Handmade in Wayne County, New York.
Honeydoo Cutters are made one at a time by Mark Devlin, a machinist in Wayne County, New York — since 2002.
Mark Devlin, machinist.
Mark is a machinist by trade. He built the first Honeydoo after watching his wife’s friends hooking rugs and seeing the need for a better cutter. He designed it together with his wife, an accomplished rug hooker.
The goal was one machine that brought together the features rug hookers wanted in a cutter. See what it offers →
Where “Honeydoo” comes from.
Among crafters, Mark became known as Mr. HoneyDoo — and the name stuck. The slogan, It’s got to be a Honeydoo!, is on the lid of the carry case.
One at a time, on purpose.
There’s no production line and no stock room. Each cutter is made to order — machined by hand, anodized in the color you pick, and assembled.
